Some Recent American Art was an exhibition organised under the auspices of the International Council of the Museum of Modern Art, New York in 1973. The exhibition toured five venues in Australasia: National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne; West Australian Art Gallery, Perth; Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney; Art Gallery of South Australia, Adelaide; City of Auckland Art Gallery, Auckland.

The exhibition was curated by Jennifer Licht and included then-recent contemporary works by Vito Acconci, Carl Andre, John Baldessari, Linda Benglis, Mel Bochner, Dan Flavin, Eva Hesse, Robert Irwin, Donald Judd, Joseph Kosuth, Sol LeWitt, Brice Marden, Agnes Martin, Robert Morris, Dorothea Rockburne, Robert Ryman, Richard Serra, Keith Sonnier, William Wegman, and Lawrence Weiner.
