New Art: Some Recent New Zealand sculpture and post-object art

NZ$120.00

“I’ve been waiting for this book to appear for a long time, hearing about the gathering of it from Wystan Curnow. It’s like a map of the sculpture of the last few years.” —Anthony Green, Art New Zealand

A classic publication edited by Jim Allen and Wystan Curnow, documenting sculpture and post object art in New Zealand. This publication represents a “book as an exhibition.” Each of the sculptors presented was given free hand in conceiving and planning their section of the book, which includes photographic documentation, detailed information on dimension, location, materials and method of production. Artists included in this project are William Robert Allen, Bruce Alister Barber, Philip Dadson, Don Driver, Maree Elizabeth Horner, Kieran Lyons, Leon Narbey and Greer Twiss. Each artist is represented with a portrait and biography.
